Buffalo Residents Win Big in Tim Hortons RRRoll Up The Rim to Win Annual Contest

Three Buffalo-area residents are awarded a new car and two Panasonic 3D TV packages

BUFFALO, New York (March 20, 2012)-Buffalo is home to three lucky Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop guests who soon will take home a few of the RRRoll Up the Rim contest's top prizes-one of which is a brand new car.

Since mid-February, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop guests have been rolling up the rims on their hot beverage cups in hopes of winning any one of the $58 million in prizes.

Rebecca Moore of Falconer, New York is the recipient of a brand new car, while Cindy Ciszkowski of Blasdell, New York and Anita Schuster of Buffalo each won a Panasonic 3D TV package.

The winners will be given their prizes at the following special restaurant events:

  • Cindy Ciszkowski will receive her prize at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23 at the winning 3638 South Park Avenue restaurant in Blasdell, New York.

  • Anita Schuster will receive her prize at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at the winning 1340 Ridge Road restaurant in Lackawanna, New York.

  • Rebecca Moore will drive off in her new car at a special restaurant event to be held in early April at the winning 1361 E. 2nd Street restaurant in Jamestown, New York.

"Seeing the joy and excitement on our guests' faces as they are handed they keys to a new car or walk off with a brand new TV is the perfect way to end this year's RRRoll Up the Rim contest," said Mike Meilleur, senior vice president of U.S. operations for Tim Hortons. "Our owners and team members have a blast during the contest and truly take delight in seeing guests win."

RRRoll Up the Rim, now in its 26th year, is one of North America's biggest customer rewards programs. Created in 1986 as a "thank you" to guests, the contest has grown into an annual ritual having awarded millions of prizes since.

Prizes for the 2012 contest included 40 new cars, 100 Panasonic 3D TV packages, 1,000 Coleman Camping packages, 5,000 Panasonic digital cameras, 25,000 $100 TimCards and more than 47 million food prizes.  Prizes may be claimed until May 20, 2012.
