Oakville, Ontario, February 27, 2006 - For its twentieth straight year, Roll Up The Rim To Win is back at Tim Hortons! With more prizes than ever before, this year's contest promises to provide an added treat to your morning double-double.
During the contest, customers in Canada who buy a medium, large or extra large hot beverage at Tim Hortons get a chance to win one of over 27 million available prizes. This year's prize array includes 30 Toyota RAV4 Sport vehicles, 100 Panasonic Plasma TVs, 500 cash prizes of $1,000, 10,000 Broil King Barbecues and over 27 million food prizes!
"Promotions like our Roll Up The Rim To Win contest are tremendously popular with our loyal customers," said Tim Barnes, Tim Hortons brand manager. "It's really a double win, because they get a great tasting cup of our premium blend coffee and a chance to win a prize all at once!"
In addition to adding more food prizes to the award lineup, Tim Hortons is offering greater flexibility to winners. The "Win Coffee" rims can be redeemed for any hot beverage, including: coffee, steeped tea, specialty tea, flavoured cappuccino, café mocha, hot chocolate, hot smoothee and apple cider. The "Win Donut" rims can be redeemed for any one donut, muffin or cookie.
In 2005, Tim Hortons stores across Canada and the U.S. gave away millions of food prizes, 30 GMC Envoys, 80 Panasonic Plasma Home Theatres, 450 cash prizes of $1,000 and over 6,000 Coleman Camping Packages. All vehicles are awarded with full ownership to winners.
"It's so exciting to see the reaction on a customer's face when they win a prize," added Barnes. "People are delighted when they win a donut or a coffee, so you can imagine how thrilling it is when a customer wins a grand prize!"
The Roll Up The Rim To Win contest runs while cup supplies last. Prizes may be claimed until May 28th, 2006. Contest rules and regulations, prizing information and winner counts can be found at participating Tim Hortons locations or at rolluptherimtowin.com.
