Tim Hortons Camp Day Raises $6.4 million!

Over 10,000 deserving kids will attend camp this year

This past June 8th, Tim Hortons coffee was an eye opener for kids too as an astounding $6.4 million (US$5.1 million) was raised on Camp Day! Over 2,400 Tim Hortons participating stores across Canada and 260 stores in the United States donated their entire coffee proceeds, in addition to funds raised through various Camp Day events and activities, to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. This amount substantially exceeds last year's total of $6 million.

"I want to thank Tim Hortons customers, store owners and their dedicated staff, our many special guests and the media for buying a cup of coffee and participating in the many Camp Day festivities this year," said Don Schroeder, president of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. "Camp Day invokes a passion in people that is beyond compare and each year this event continues to surpass everyone's expectations."

Thanks in large part to the funds raised on Camp Day, over 10,000 deserving children will attend one of six Tim Horton Children's Foundation camps this year - all expenses paid. Each camp offers a wide range of first-class programs and activities, and their supportive atmosphere encourages campers to take on the new and unfamiliar challenges they discover. This environment is designed to build their confidence and leadership abilities, giving them an experience that can open their eyes to their potential for a bright future.
