Tim Hortons Store Owner and Corporate Headquarters Donation An additional donation of $500,000 (CDN) is also being made to UNICEF on behalf of Tim Hortons Store Owners and Corporate Offices.

"As is the case with so many people around the world who are seeing the horrible devastation caused by this disaster, we immediately began asking ourselves. how can we help? Our Store Owners, Store and Corporate Staff, and also our Customers wanted to do something," says Paul House, President & COO, The TDL Group Corp. (operators of Tim Hortons). "The coin boxes that are in all of our stores - which normally raise funds for our Tim Horton Children's Foundation - will be dedicated for this time period to raising funds for children affected by the Tsunami. This really allows everyone to make even the smallest contribution; every penny adds up."

Since 1964, Tim Hortons focus has been on supporting children and youth in the communities in which its stores operate, making UNICEF's specific focus on children in Tsunami-affected countries an appropriate fit for the chain's donation and fundraising efforts.

"The commitment of Canadian companies like Tim Hortons, together with the generosity of their individual employees and customers, will make such a difference for the hundreds of thousands of children whose lives have been torn apart by this disaster," says David Agnew, president and CEO, UNICEF Canada. "Their contribution will literally save lives and restore childhoods."
