Canada's leading breakfast destination also offering new Breakfast Wraps to provide more options for freshly prepared, convenient food on-the-go
OAKVILLE, ON - October 25, 2010- Good news: Canadians don't have to sacrifice convenience for a healthier breakfast on the go, with the introduction of Tim Hortons new Homestyle Oatmeal and Breakfast Wraps.
Sales of hot cereals including oatmeal have been increasing and Tim Hortons' authentic, Homestyle Oatmeal is a healthy and convenient option for busy Canadians. The new whole grain oatmeal is low in fat and high in fibre. It's made in a time-honoured tradition - slow-cooked every morning for 45 minutes - and is available in two wholesome varieties: Mixed Berries or Maple. Tim Hortons is the only quick service restaurant in Canada offering slow-cooked, not instant, oatmeal.
"Research shows Canadians are skipping breakfast less often, but in a busy, time-crunched world, they're looking for options that are fresh, convenient and healthier," said Donna Finelli, Director of Brand Marketing for food at Tim Hortons. "Our new Homestyle Oatmeal and Breakfast Wraps help meet our guests' needs for healthier options without sacrificing the quick service and quality they expect from Tim Hortons."
As the breakfast market leader in Canada, Tim Hortons is also expanding its menu with new Breakfast Wraps. Freshly-prepared with quality ingredients like scrambled eggs, real cheddar cheese and savoury sauce, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and available with bacon or sausage, the Breakfast Wraps are a perfect, on the go breakfast option.
The new items join Canada's favourite premium blend, 20-minute fresh coffee, baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, and deliver on Tim Hortons' promise: great quality and value, prepared fresh to order, every time. Homestyle Oatmeal and Breakfast Wraps are priced at $1.99 each and are available now across Canada.
