OAKVILLE, ON - August 20, 2013 - Tim Hortons Inc. (TSX: THI, NYSE: THI) today announced the appointment of Steve Wuthmann as Executive Vice-President, Human Resources, and as a member of the executive group, effective September 30th, 2013.

Wuthmann was most recently Executive Vice-President, Supply Chain, for Parmalat Canada and prior to that, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources.  He brings more than two decades of human resources and operations experience to Tim Hortons, including with Purolator Courier, Labatt Breweries of Canada and Canada Packers.

"Steve is an accomplished executive with substantial human resources and operational experience.
